Update on Baby David

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” - Revelation 21:4

Our Hearts are Broken for David and His Mother

Several weeks ago we announced that baby David, located in Sumba, was in need of intercession for sickness.

After weeks of fighting in the ICU and falling into a coma, David has finally gone to be with his Father in Heaven.

Although we are brokenhearted and writing with tears in our eyes, we are relieved that David is now free from his pain and in the loving embrace of Jesus.

In a recent post, David’s mother, Hana, shared her heart:

“Mama didn't say much because she ran out of words and tears for you dear David. Mama also will not blame the father anymore. Goodbye, my beloved youngest child ‘David Mercyano Alexander Bora—’ a child who was always full of joy... always making us laugh... Jesus loves you more than I could ever, and your illness has been healed, my dear. Lord Jesus give strength to those of us he left behind. See you in New Jerusalem, okay?”

We want to thank our Mercy Sumba staff for taking such good care of David and his mother, protecting them from harm, and giving them a loving family to stay with.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to all who took the time to pray for his situation. We believe God works ALL things for good.
