Testimonies and Prayer Requests

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.” - I John 5:14-15

He hears us.

Isn’t that an empowering truth?!

It’s promises like these that make our work lighter. When we ask things OF God while doing work FOR God, we have the assurance that our prayers are heard and will be answered.

This week, we have 2 testimonies born out of the prayer to save more lives and 1 prayer request to help us reach more lost people.

Another Newborn Saved in Soe

Abandoned by her boyfriend, Renny found herself alone and afraid while 3-months pregnant.

Renny, a 19-year-old girl from Balu Village, Soe, NTT, had faced a life of poverty and struggle. Now that she was pregnant out of wedlock, she felt she had no choice but to leave her small village fearing that her family would disown her.

During her travels, when all hope seemed lost, God seemed to guide her right to the head of our Mercy home in Soe.

Once they heard about her situation, they accepted and accommodated her with open arms.

When she was eight months pregnant, Renny finally underwent an examination, and the ultrasound results showed that her pregnancy was strong and the baby was safe.

Now, Renny has recently given birth to a healthy baby boy weighing 3.5 kg (7.7 Ibs).

Renny’s newborn son

The presence of this baby is proof of God's infinite love: that He would look out for even just one person in a small remote village in an obscure part of Soe, Indonesia.

We find ourselves grateful to be part of Renny and her child's life journey.

A big thank you to all who sponsor and support our Mercy Orphanage locations. It’s because of your generosity that these stories can have such positive and powerful outcomes!

From Drug-Addicted Prisoner to Reformed Artist

Over the past few years, Mercy has been making a profound difference in Bali's challenging prison environment.

One remarkable story is that of Fabian Warnas, an alumnus of the Integrated Personality Development School (SPKT) and a testament to the power of character development and personal transformation.

Fabian's Journey

Originally from Jakarta, Fabian's life was once consumed by drug addiction finally landing himself in Kerobokan Prison.

But, through a comprehensive support system that included continuous mentoring and community support, he found a path to recovery.

Divine grace played a crucial role in his healing process, providing not only freedom from addiction but also a supportive life partner who encouraged his personal growth.

A New Start

As a graduate of the SPKT program and a former Kerobokan Prison inmate, Fabian has rebuilt his life.

He now works full-time as a painter, a profession that serves dual purposes. Beyond providing a livelihood, painting has become a powerful medium for Fabian to express himself and continue developing his personal and spiritual identity.

To add to his testimony, he is now happily married.

Ongoing Support

Mercy remains committed to Fabian's ongoing journey, providing continued mentoring and support to help him maintain his positive trajectory.

His story serves as a powerful inspiration, demonstrating that with the right support and personal determination, transformation is possible.

As Fabian's experience shows, nothing is truly impossible with faith and dedicated support.

A Call to Prayer & Support: Moving Mercy Kalwedo Radio Studio to a New Location

Mercy Kalwedo Radio is currently facing some big challenges, but also opportunities to grow and serve more people.

Our old studio had to be abandoned due to limited access to electricity in the area, which affected radio operations. But, as a media that is committed to conveying useful information and inspiring society, our team has not given up!

Luckily, we have found a new, more strategic location, with land and towers that we have measured and cleaned.

The cost of purchasing the land and tower reached IDR 45 million (~USD 2824.19), while the cost of building the new Studio Building is estimated at around IDR 100 million (~USD 62,759.67).

New Mercy Kalwedo FM land location

Moving to a more effective location that is connected to electricity will allow us to maximize our ability to provide useful broadcasts for loyal Mercy Kalwedo Radio listeners.

We invite you to participate in this journey. Your support means a lot to us, not only to build better facilities but also to expand the reach of the broadcasts we deliver.

With your help, we believe Kalwedo FM Moa can continue to be a source of information that inspires and brings benefits to the community.

Every donation, no matter how small, will bring us closer to a better studio ready to spread the Good News all over the region.

Future plan for the new Kalwedo studio

Thank you for your continued attention and support. Together, we can make a big difference!

Thank you for your ongoing support!

When you donate through Kinship United, every dollar funds the resources needed to support our orphanages, outreach, and projects that aim to bless locals (Church Makeover, Prison Ministry, Disciple Makers, Radio Ministry, and more).
