Prayers, Praise, and Progress

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” - James 5:16

The power of compassion continues to create real change in Indonesia, as we witness countless lives being transformed through the dedication of our supporters and volunteers.

This week, we're grateful to be able to share some updates from our orphanages as well as some prayer requests.

With your prayer and partnership, even the biggest challenges can become stepping stones to hope.

Mercy Sumba Orphanage - Urgent Need for Prayer

Last year, we wrote about how Mercy Sumba helped take in a young mother and her son, David. Baby David’s testimony

Recently, baby David has been in quite a lot of pain for over a week.

What started as a cough and runny nose evolved into vomiting and a high fever. He has been taken to the doctor but there have been no significant changes.

Currently, our leaders in Sumba plan to take him to the doctor again for a complete blood count and hospitalization.

Baby David

David has an incredible story, and we believe his life will be a testimony for many.

We ask that you join us in prayer to give the doctors wisdom and baby David’s full recovery.

Your prayers and support mean a lot to us, and especially to our children. We have faith that you will be hearing good news on his condition soon!

Mercy Orphanage Nias (North Sumatra) - Good News!

For several months our Mercy Orphanage in Sumatra has been struggling with their housing standards: rotting roofs, broken down cupboards, mold, leaks, and more.

But good news! By the end of 2024 to now, we received enough assistance to start on some much-needed renovations.

As of this email, we are currently replacing the roof, making water tanks, and replacing room doors.

We would like to thank all the partners who have been willing to wholeheartedly help and support our orphanages. We’ll keep you updated with the latest progress and finished results!

Mercy FM Radio Soe (South Central Timur) - Update

Quick update!

After struggling for a long time with the condition of the studio roof which was making it difficult to conduct broadcasts in the rainy season, God has answered the prayers of our Radio Mercy Soe staff.

Thanks to the help of some anonymous donors, Mercy FM Soe Studio received all the funds needed to make a new roof and continue recording smoothly.
